A five minute pitch, that's all there was to sell their ideas and experience to a jury at The French American Entrepreneurship Award ceremony . There were all kinds of French startup companies at that event and some levity in between the pitches was much needed. The MC was funnier than I ever saw before. He was fluent and equally as funny in both languages. His perfect comedic timing helped introduce each candidate, helping to put everyone at ease. I asked who he was: "David Serero" I was told, but little did I know who he really was!

The next time I saw him was at the annual French Consulate Christmas party, where he sang both National Anthems with such delectation and grand operatic delivery that the comment following his performance was "Wow! La Marseillaise will never be quite the same"!

Here's a clip of him singing "Autumn leaves" with Jermaine Jackson, sung in English by Jermaine and French by David.

I am so pleased to have you meet him too. Our interview was a most enjoyable moment at Sardi's restaurant in the theater district of Manhattan. We did the interviews in French and English. The French is posted also under "Style".

David has performances coming up where he plays a Yiddish King Lear (!) which will run January 30th and February 1rst, 2018.
He will perform Cyrano de Bergerac in April and Don Giovanni in June. Try to catch one of his shows and when you do, please say hello for me?
